BBC Religious Affairs Correspondent Caroline Wyatt once again joined friends and supporters at 
the Veterans Aid Annual Meeting where she interviewed former clients about their steps back to financial stability and rewarding employment.
After a welcome from the Chairman, those who attended heard CEO Dr Hugh Milroy share latest news about the Charity’s New Belvedere House hostel transformation and progress with fundraising.
Revisiting highlights of the Veterans Aid year Dr Milroy reflected on the ‘family’ funeral of long-term hostel resident Ian Douglas, the poignant Remembrance Sunday Requiem at the Royal Albert Hall ( made possible by The Royal Choral Society and Lady R Foundation) and the more recent involvement in the Independent/Evening Standard Homeless Veterans Campaign.
After the formal updates, guests had an opportunity to view illustrated plans for New Belvedere House and admire the wonderful VA formation done specially for the Charity by members of The Queen’s Colour Squadron RAF Regiment.
